100% merino wool fingerless mitts, handmade in Canada.
These mitts feature a fitted thumb, pointed cap, and drawstring top, coming to just under the elbow on the average arm. They have been knitted flat, and seamed together, as industrially produced gloves of the 18th and 19th century would have been.
I wanted to offer a more accurate pair of fingerless mitts, with the pointed flap so ubiquitous of the 18th century, and without a modern ribbed top. The waxed drawstring works beautifully to keep these from rolling down, and may be easily removed if you don’t mind a bit of roll.
Available in off-black/charcoal, and light beige.
