Hello.
I knitted these mittens to be a lovely women’s accessory for cold day activities. Knitting there is tight and thick so they can hold the warmth really well.
I applied the pattern throughout the glove, and the pattern sort of continues on thumb – that takes rather a meticulous knitting.
The color combination I choose classically so it harmonizes with a lot of outfits.
contains 100% New Zealand Wool
slim fit
will fit palms circumference of ~18cm / 7.09in
Thank you for visiting!
Best regards,
Agnes
The Benefits of Wool:
•Wool is a breathable fiber that provides instant warmth, unlike synthetic materials. It regulates itself to individual body temperature and really is warm in winter whilst cool in summer.
•The hands stay warm even when it’s wet so if you’re wearing wool mittens and get water it, your arms will feel much less cold or damp.
•Wool is a highly practical fiber. Easy to clean because dirt sits on the surface of the fiber (and so can be wiped off), it needs very little washing or laundry. It dries quickly and is flame-retardant.
•Wool is hypoallergenic – it is resistant to bacteria, mold, and mildew that can trigger allergic reactions in many people.
•Wool is a naturally renewable fiber – what could be more natural than wool? Each year sheep produce a fleece, which makes wool a natural and renewable resource. As yet, no one has been able to reproduce the properties of wool synthetically.
• Eco-friendly and Sustainable – when it’s ‘out with the old’ wool will naturally biodegrade. It is a totally natural product, entirely renewable and sustainable. And it is 100% biodegradable – a very important feature in a world that is increasingly concerned about the environment.
It’s wonderful that we have got such amazing material in nature.
