Quality thin and soft russet Leather Gloves, unlined, with extremely fine internal seams and angled decoration. Snap closure at the wrist. 1950s quality made women’s fashion.
Wonderful vintage wrist length gloves. The leather is top quality, thin, died through. The inside suede of the leather is almost like velour. The seams are tiny and beautifully done.
These gloves have no indication of size. Based on Piddlewick’s hands, as they fit like a… glove, we would say they are a size 6.5, or small, with long slender fingers.
They measure: 22 cm (8 5/8 inches) from tip of middle finger to bottom of glove.
The thumb measures: 11.2 cm (43/8 inches), from base of pad to top of thumb.
The middle finger measures: 7.8 cm (3 1/8 inches) along the seam, from top to juncture with pointer finger.
Around the base of the fingers measures 16 cm (6 1/4 inches).
These are a vintage item from the 1950s. They are in excellent and clean condition, with no cuts or holes. The leather is very soft to the touch.
