Care: Gently hand wash in cold water at approx. 30C with a delicate (for woolens) detergent (leave for a few minutes). Squeeze with a towel without twisting! Can be ironed with light steam in wool mode.

TECHNIQUE: Wet Felt, Nuno Felt, Needle Felt.
Wet Felt: It is shaken by hand using soap and water until the wool fibers are intertwined. It occurs by handshaking and friction.
Nuno Felt: It is a technique that combines wool fibers with natural fabrics such as silk. In short, it means felting the fabric into fibers.
Needle Felt: Felting needles are used to assemble the fibers. It is a process that consists of sticking special barbed needles into wool bundles many times until the desired shape is reached, usually in decorations.
Merino wool is of excellent quality for use in wearables. Merino wool felt is soft, light and yet strong.
PROPERTIES:
– Breathable and controls moisture
The wool product is perfect for wearing in the rain. It can absorb up to 30 percent of its own weight without sensing moisture and naturally releases it into the air.
– Regulates the temperature
Wool is a natural insulator that keeps you warm when it’s cool and keeps you cool when it’s hot.
– Durable
Wool is a flexible and elastic fiber that retains its shape. In felt, each fiber is randomly wound and twisted around neighboring fibers. Even though it feels light and soft, it creates an incredibly strong and durable fabric.
– Water Repellent
Wool fibers are resistant to rain and snow, it acts as a barrier. With the temperature-regulating nature of the wool, it’s a great and smart choice to use wool as a hat.
– Resistant to dirt and odors
Merino has a natural protective layer that repels stains and odors.
– Resists fire and ultraviolet (UV)
Merino contains natural fire retardants that naturally give it self-extinguishing ability. And also it protects you against UV radiation.
– Ethical and sustainable
The majority of the wool we chose to work with was purchased from Prado, Italy. They are procured from farms that apply humane and environmentally friendly farming. It is organic and conforms to EMAS (Environmental audit) standards.
FELT CARE (GENERAL):
Wool has a self-cleaning feature.
Hand wash it with mild soap at 30 degrees/84 F maximum. Press lightly and let the water run. Rinse in cold water to remove washer fluid. Dry flat (on a towel). You can steam iron before it is completely dry (on a wool setting).
CLEANING:
You only have to protect them from moths. You can read more about their maintenance in the storage/cleaning section below.
PROCESSING TIME:
Felt making takes time, so please be patient and allow up to 7-9 days (at busy times; 2-3 weeks) before dispatch of your order.

Returns ~ We can not accept returns because each product is made to order.
EXCHANGE:
If you receive your felt product and would like to exchange please contact me within 3 hours of receiving your item. I do not accept exchanges. But please contact me with any questions and I’m gonna try to help you out! The buyer is responsible for ALL of the return shipping labels. Exceptions may occur and personalized items are not exchangeable.
